Event Type Historic Site Tour/History Description Did you ever wonder how clothing was made in the days before polyester and nylon? Barbara Johns will demonstrate spinning and dyeing of wool and flaxen fibers as done in the 18th century. From flax breaking to drop spindles, spinning wheels and weaving, Barbara will explain how these spun fibers turned into sheets of cloth for clothing, covering all aspects of fiber arts during the period of the American Revolution.
