Event Type Historic Site Tour/History Description Saturday Morning Walking Tours at the Hart Cluett Museum Tours explore a different part of Rensselaer County history and take you through Downtown Troy. September Saturday Tour Topics: 9/7 The Gilded Age in Troy, NY 9/14 Lafayette in Troy 9/21 Uncle Sam: The Man, The Myth, The Legend 9/28 The Gilded Age in Troy, NY Register at HartCluett.org/events or in the Museum Shop Before registering, please note the following: · Ticket purchase is required beforehand. · This tour will leave AND end at the Hart Cluett Museum, 57 Second Street Troy, NY. · Tickets are $25 per person/$10 per student or educator (with valid ID). Children 16 & under are free. Admission to the museum is included in the cost of the walking tours. · Tours take place rain or shine, run from 60 to 90 minutes long, and are limited to 30 people per program. The tour experience includes walking several blocks on city streets with uneven sidewalks. Walking shoes and weather-appropriate attire are advised. · The Hart Cluett Museum provides all walking tour participants with headsets, allowing each visitor to listen to the tour guide at their preferred volume. Please note that while you may use or bring your own earpieces/earbuds, single use earpieces will also be provided by the Hart Cluett Museum at time of tour. Additional Equipment Required: Walking tours explore sites around the Historic District of Troy, NY. The tour covers about 1 mile and the sidewalk can be bumpy in some areas. Tours take place rain or shine. Participants are advised to be prepared for the weather and walking/travel, including mobility devices and comfortable shoes. There is ramp access from the sidewalk to enter the museum. Inside the museum there is an elevator to take visitors between floors for the galleries and the historic house. Accessible bathrooms are available in the museum as well. Please contact the museum at 518-272-7232 x111 with any questions or to discuss specifics for your visit.
