Event Type Historic Site Tour/History Description This tour covers about 1 mile of walking through downtown Troy from 10:30am-12pm. Please arrive at the museum at least 15 minutes before the tour starts. The museum is open 12-5pm and admission to the galleries in included in your tour ticket purchase. Follow in the footsteps of the popular HBO series as we explore the many buildings and streets in the historic district that were used in filming Seasons One and Two of The Gilded Age. Behind the scenes stories will be shared as we look at the grand buildings and streetscapes that became the backdrop for this series set in 1882. Please note, this tour is one of HCM’s most popular Walking Tour programs and sells out quickly! If you would like to be put on a waiting list in the event of a sold out tour, please email adoren@hartcluett.org with your name, number of tickets, and a phone number to be reached at in the case of an opening. If space becomes available, we will contact you. Before registering, please note the following: · Ticket purchase is required beforehand. · This tour will leave AND end at the Hart Cluett Museum, 57 Second Street Troy, NY. · Tickets are $25 per person/$10 per student or educator (with valid ID). Children 16 & under are free. Admission to the museum is included in the cost of the walking tours. · Tours take place rain or shine, run from 60 to 90 minutes long, and are limited to 30 people per program. The tour experience includes walking several blocks on city streets with uneven sidewalks. Walking shoes and weather-appropriate attire are advised. · The Hart Cluett Museum provides all walking tour participants with headsets, allowing each visitor to listen to the tour guide at their preferred volume. Please note that while you may use or bring your own earpieces/earbuds, single use earpieces will also be provided by the Hart Cluett Museum at time of tour. Additional Equipment Required: Walking tours explore sites around the Historic District of Troy, NY. The tour covers about 1 mile over 60-90 minutes and the sidewalk can be bumpy in some areas. Tours take place rain or shine. Participants are advised to be prepared for the weather and maneuvering on the sidewalk. There is ramp access from the sidewalk to enter the museum. Inside the museum there is an elevator to take visitors between floors for the galleries and the historic house. Accessible bathrooms are available in the museum as well.
