Event Type Bike Tour Description Join Parks & Trails New York for a 21-mile bike ride on the Empire State Trail (mostly off-road, with about one mile of on-road riding) from Albany along the banks of the Hudson River up to Peebles Island State Park in Cohoes. After a break for refreshments in Cohoes, we will return by bike to Albany. We expect the event to take 3-4 hours total. Additional Information
The ride will follow the route of the Empire State Trail from Albany to Peebles Island State Park. While most of the ride runs along off-road paths, the route does require about one mile of on-road riding with traffic through Watervliet and Green Island. We will ride together in a group to ensure we are visible to traffic and that all riders are safe.Additional Equipment Required: All riders must provide their own bicycle, and helmets are required for all participants. We also recommend that riders bring: - Water - Spare tube and patch kit - Bike lock - Cell phone
