Former estate of William Rockefeller, this site boasts scenic views overlooking the Hudson, lush forests, and remnants of 19th century luxuries. Leashed dogs are welcome. Bring water to drink and wear comfortable shoes; the tour is about 2 miles roundtrip. This hike is at Rockwood Hall, DO NOT go to the main Preserve entrance. Gather at the kiosk at the top of the hill across the street from the parking lot. Rain date: September 18. PLEASE NOTE: If you purchase tickets and cannot make it, we ask that you cancel your reservation through Eventbrite so the tickets may be made available to others who are wait-listed.
