Event Type Walk/Hike Description Join Richard Esnard of the Piermont Historical Society — Walk to Piermont’s historic district, and enjoy the scenic Sparkill Creek stopping at several sites on the National Register of Historic Places. [The drawbridge, Haddock’s Hall & the location of the 1916 silent movie “The Hungry Heart”]. Learn about the dramatic impact of geology and the NY & Erie RR on the village and the nation. [Other topics: Dutch inhabitants, WWII, Paper Mill, and the Revolution]. End the tour at Flywheel Park and learn about Piermont’s industrial era. — Visit Piermont’s 1883 Landmark RR Station Museum at 50 Ash Street located on the scenic Erie Path overlooking the Hudson River. [open from 1 to 4 PM]. Hikers can access via the Erie Path. Motorized visitors park on site.
