Details

Event Type Environmental Exhibition Description “Healing Hudson,” by Selva Ozelli, explores the Hudson Valley’s importance in sparking the environmental movement in the U.S., which took off worldwide. The art on display features Darter Fish, which live in highly oxygenated fresh waters and received their name for their tendency to move in short bursts of motion. They are highlighted as an endangered species that once darted around the Hudson watershed, that the artist imagines may one day return to their home. Selva Ozelli is an environmentalist who expresses this sentiment as an artist, writer and lawyer. She is an award winning artist whose paintings have been acknowledged in 19 international art contests and exhibited in over 100 art shows by numerous museums, the United Nations, ministries and NGOs across the world.
