Event Type Historic Site Tour/History Description In 2024, Albany will commemorate 400 years of Dutch culture in the region alongside the 400th anniversary of the founding of Fort Orange, the first permanent Dutch settlement that developed into the present-day city of Albany. In honor of this milestone, the Albany Institute of History & Art (AIHA) is developing Delights of the Senses, an exhibition centered around a partnership with The Leiden Collection, one of the preeminent private collections of 17th-century Dutch paintings in the United States.
