Event Type Walk/Hike Description Louisa Pond is a glacial kettle pond located on Shaupeneak Ridge. There is a side trail dedicated to Sojourner Truth with interpretive signage. The area is protected jointly by NY DEC and Scenic Hudson. We will walk through hardwood uplands and around a wetland area. There is a boardwalk along one section through the wetland. Additional Information

This is a mostly flat trail with a few ups and downs. We do cross a stream over steppingstones.
Additional Equipment Required: NO OPEN-TOED SHOES. Sneakers are okay. Bring water. You may want a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray. This walk is rain or shine so dress for the weather.
