Event Type Historic Site Tour/History Description In partnership with the Museum of the American Revolution (MAR) in Philadelphia, the Site will showcase the Museum’s “Traveling Replicas of the First Oval Office Project”, Washington’s emblematic marquee war tents and host their staff for a two--day special event program to launch OPRHP’s celebration of the semiquincentennial. The Site will provide: professional reenactors General Washington and Mrs. Washington to engage visitors and regimental reenactors performing military drills and demonstrations of camp life; Hasbrouck House tours to see how this family home was transformed into the longest headquarters of the war; exhibits about General Washington’s Life and Legacy, the Defense of the Hudson and the Preservation of the Site; collections including over 1,300 objects; and opportunities to learn about other Revolutionary War sites in the Palisades Region and across the State Historic Site system and the variety of programming that will occur throughout the 250th celebration.
