Event Type Historic Site Tour/History Description These two History Hike pamphlets will be made available outside of the museum all month! The Arnold's Flight History Hike dives deep into the rich drama of the Revolutionary War. Follow the path that the infamous traitor Benedict Arnold took when he fled from the Continental Army, and learn all about what drove him to betray his country. This ~1.5 mile hike is easy to mild difficulty, with some steep hills. The Little Stony Point History Hike explores the beautiful scenery of LSP and how it was almost destroyed by the rise of industrialization in the Hudson Valley. Learn all about how this landmark became a key part in the birth of the American Environmental Movement, and the delicate ecosystems protected around it. This ~1 mile hike is easy. Both of these pamphlets were funded in part by the Maurice D. Hinchey Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area. Organization Hosting the Event Putnam History MuseumAdditional Information
