Event Type Art exhibition Description Security envelopes become talismans. Street-found cardboard becomes an imagined landscape. A tree pulled from Brooklyn’s Gowanus Canal becomes a series of geometric sculptures. These are some of the transformations explored in Second Life Forms, an exhibition presented by ARTMoney Society at Station NY, 394 Hasbrouck Ave, Kingston, NY, from September 18–27. The exhibition brings together Rachel Hornaday, Ryan Sarah Murphy, and Jos Prol, three artists who find new possibilities in materials that have already had another life. Employing both ingenuity and imagination, these artists each explore dimensions of form and pattern in everyday materials, creating objects that transform familiar urban remnants into coded surfaces, provisional terrains, and artifacts from adjacent worlds. Second Life Forms is presented by guest curators ARTMoney Society, a cultural strategy and artist development studio that supports emerging and mid-career artists through curatorial projects and related programming, shaping how artists are seen, collected, and remembered. Led by Founder and Cultural Architect Anthony-Michael Alexander, with Deborah Oster Pannell serving as Curatorial and Artist Relations Director, the organization works to cultivate relationships between artists, collectors, institutions, and strategic partners, building community around artwork that fosters curiosity, dialogue, and connection.
