Event Type Walk/Hike Description Enjoy a docent-guided stroll along much of the celebrated landscape architect Andrew J. Downing’s "Morning Walk" and through the remnants of his romantic 'Wilderness' at Montgomery Place national historic estate. Take in spectacular views of the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains while walking the woodland trails in the ravine of the Saw Kill Creek and the meadow paths of the mansion’s west lawn. Historical highlights include: the cascading waterfalls, the hydro-power station, the impressive main drive tree allée and arboretum, the carriage house, and the formal gardens.
