Event Type Historic Site Tour/History Description All tour of the Mandeville House have been CANCELED for this year's Ramble. Built in 1737, the oldest house in Garrison, was built by Jacob Mandeville, a young man of Dutch origin. The house was a strategic point during the American revolution and was headquarters for General Putnam and other notable commanders. Many revolutionary war heroes were quartered at the house--most notable being Gen. George Washington and other revolutionary war heroes.
