    Event Type Walk/Hike Description Join Richard Esnard of the Piermont Historical Society — Walk to Piermont’s historic district, then to early 19th century Bogertown and ending at Flywheel Park. Enjoy the scenic Sparkill Creek stopping at several sites on the National Register of Historic Places. [The drawbridge, Haddock’s Hall - the location of the 1916 silent movie “The Hungry Heart”]. Learn about the dramatic impact of geology and the NY & Erie RR on the village and the nation. [Other topics: Dutch inhabitants, WWII, Paper Mill, and the Revolution].     The walk is flat.
    Activities: -Guided tours on Piermont History @ Piermont’s 1883 RR Station Museum at 50 Ash Street on the scenic Erie Path overlooking the majestic Hudson River from 1 - 4 PM. Hikers can access via the Erie Path. Motorized visitors park on site. -Farmer’s Market in parking lot behind M & T Bank @ 527 Piermont Avenue from 10 AM to 3:00PM.
    Additional Equipment Required: Water, good walking shoes, and walking stick.
