Event Type Walk/Hike Description Join Richard Esnard of the Piermont Historical Society — Walk to Piermont’s historic district, then to early 19th century Bogertown and ending at Flywheel Park. Enjoy the scenic Sparkill Creek stopping at several sites on the National Register of Historic Places. [The drawbridge, Haddock’s Hall - the location of the 1916 silent movie “The Hungry Heart”]. Learn about the dramatic impact of geology and the NY & Erie RR on the village and the nation. [Other topics: Dutch inhabitants, WWII, Paper Mill, and the Revolution].
