Event Type Walk/Hike Description Enjoy a 3 mile moderate hike to the historic Dickinson Hill fire tower with an environmental educator. On a clear day you can observe the Adirondack Mountains, the Green Mountains, and the Taconic Range from the top of the tower. Program meets at 1:00 PM at the welcome center before driving to the trailhead. Please RSVP at (518) 279-1155, ext. 2. There is a $6 vehicle entrance fee for the park on weekends in September after Labor Day.

Additional Information

This is a moderate hike with some rocks and roots in the trail. There are several steep stories of stairs to climb if you wish to go to the top of the fire tower.
Additional Equipment Required: Water bottle, snacks, and close-toed shoes are recommended.
