A contemporary museum which brings history alive through multimedia exhibits, films and newsreels. Learn about the Depression, Dust Bowl, Pearl Harbor, D-Day. Many of the protections and programs which make life better and more secure today were started by FDR: Social Security, EPA, OSHA, child labor laws, overtime and the invention invention of “The Weekend”— the 5 day work week Roosevelt’s life and accomplishments in trying times and with his own enormous physical challenges will inspire you and your family, and make you proud to be an American.
