Event Type Walk/Hike Description Celebrate the changing seasons and crisp mountain air with a weekend that blends outdoor fun, fall foliage, and Oktoberfest-inspired festivities. We’re bringing Bavarian charm to Harriman State Park—hikes, yoga, and campfire camaraderie. Whether you're looking for challenging trails or laid-back leisure, there's something here for everyone. Event Highlights: Morning Yoga Sessions: Start your day with invigorating yoga sessions led by a certified instructor. Salute the sun and warm up your muscles as you prepare for the day's adventures. Group Hikes: Enjoy the fiery foliage on scenic group hikes for all levels Lakeside Chill Time: Paddle, swim, or relax dockside with good company Oktoberfest Happy Hour: Bring your favorite beer or cider to enjoy with soft pretzels and light snacks Campfire : Wrap up each day with a relaxing campfire gathering. Expect warmth, stories, stargazing —bring your own beverage and snacks. Optional Games: and other low-key fun This event is led by the chapter's Harriman Program Committee volunteer leaders. Paddling and yoga equipment is available at the camp free of charge and courtesy of the NY-North Jersey AMC chapter. The camp is accessible by public transportation. Accommodation: Stone Lodge Cabin: Stay in a comfortable shared indoor lodging has 3 bedrooms, each with 4 bunks, a large center common room, full kitchen and ensuite bathrooms. Lakeside Beaver Brook Shelters: Stay in cozy shelters by the lake, each accommodating two two-person backpacking-style tents. Shelters will be shared, bring only 1 to 2 person tents. Modern Amenities: Enjoy the convenience of modern bathhouses with hot showers and flush toilets nearby. Shared picnic tables, bear boxes, and fire rings are available. Weekend Cost Cabin: $260 for AMC Members / $300 for Non-Members; Shelter Site: $190 for AMC Members / $230 for Non-Members Weekend cost includes 2 nights accommodations, Saturday dinner, 2 breakfasts (Saturday & Sunday), and program leadership provided by volunteer leaders. Saturday Day Use Only (no meals or overnight accommodations): $25 for AMC Members / $65 for Non-Members
