Event Type Historic Site Tour/History Description Join us for a twilight cruise with special guest Justin Wexler. This trip takes place aboard Solaris, the 100% solar-powered boat built at the Hudson River Maritime Museum. In the Hudson River native thought-world, twilight is a time of transition and magic. We will explore the evening environment around the Rondout/Hudson River through an indigenous lens. Depending on season, tide and weather, visitors will learn about everything from Munsee firefly and star lore to nocturnal sturgeon fishing techniques. Tours are guided by ethnoecologist Justin Wexler of Wild Hudson Valley, who has studied Hudson Valley indigenous culture, language, and history for twenty years. Don't miss this rare opportunity to get out on the water at night and learn about pre-colonial history! Organization Hosting the Event Hudson River Maritime Museum
