Event Type Walk/Hike Description Fall is the perfect time to go or to start birdwatching. Many birds are migrating south, passing along the Hudson River, which is a part of the Atlantic Flyway. Untermyer Gardens, with its views of the Hudson and the Palisades, can be a good place to spot bald eagles, among other raptors, and songbirds going south for warm winter weather. Learn what birds are living here and learn to recognize the ones traveling through. Learn techniques for spotting birds. You may even add a few to your lifetime bird list! Guide, Frances Greenberg, is the President of the Hudson River Audubon Society. Organization Hosting the Event Untermyer Gardens Conservancy
