Event Type Literary event Description Poetry Potluck is for poetry lovers. Please bring a poem or two (not food!) written by someone else, a poem you find moving or meaningful. Or come to listen. We will read our chosen poems out loud to each other. The themes will be tree, shrub, grass, flower, weather, water, wood, stone, dirt, sky, air, animal, matter, color, season, death, lifeā€¦ If the weather is cooperative, we'll gather outdoors. Mermer Blakeslee has written three novels and one non-fiction book, but her first love is poetry. For her, a good poem is as essential as food. One of her missions in life is to bring accessible, soulful poems to people who think they hate poetry, often because of the archaic language and tortured syntax they were forced to endure in school. Admission is FREE for members and a suggested donation of $10 for non-members. Registration is not required. Organization Hosting the Event Mountain Top Arboretum Phone Number 5185893903
