Event Type Walk/Hike Description Come on a short 45-minute walk to look for bird and even hawks at the Lenoir Preserve and Nature Center in Yonkers. Hank Weber of the Hudson River Audubon Society will lead part two of an Indoor/Outdoor Nature Program sponsored by the Dobbs Ferry Public Library. Meet at 10:00 a.m. on Sat Sept. 28 in the parking lot at the Lenoir Preserve at 19 Dudley St. Yonkers, just off Broadway. To register call 693-6614 or send email to Sara Rodgers at srodgers@wlsmail.org. If program is cancelled we will notify registrants by Friday night. This is easy terrain on well maintained dirt trails in a Westchester County park with spectacular views of the Hudson River and the Palisades.
Additional Equipment Required: No. People new to birdwatching may wish to bring binocular as well as a notebook and pen to record what you see,. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes.
