Detailed Times/Hours Westmoreland is open and staffed 7 days a week, 9-5. We are always happy to welcome visitors to the museum, grounds and hiking trails.

Event Type Walk/Hike Description Westmoreland Sanctuary is excited to host a guided nature hike as part of the Hudson River Valley Ramble. The 1 hour and 1-mile-long hike will be led by our Director of Conservation, Steve Ricker (Patrick Carney, naturalist will lead the hike if on rain date). Hike begins at 10 AM, meet inside the Westmoreland Sanctuary Natural Science Museum, the hike will end at the Museum as well. The museum is a short walk from the parking area. Light refreshments (Tea, coffee, bagels and donuts) will be provided from 9:30-10 AM, and we encourage you to take advantage of outdoor picnic area nearby the building. Other features at Westmoreland Sanctuary include a terrace garden with a small pond and children's playhouse, live animals and exhibits within the museum and 8.5 miles of hiking trails. $5 per person, free admission ages 12 and under. No parking fees or entry fee to the Natural Science Museum or trails
