Event Type Bike Tour Description Ride the North County Trail from Yorktown to Carmel, with the opportunity to find out about 5 different cafe's and ice cream shops along the way. The goal of this "Community ride" is to introduce the public to bicycle riding and the beautiful North County Trail. The ride is open to the public. Meet at the commuter parking lot next to the Yorktown Town Hall on Underhill Avenue, just east of Route 118. Organization Hosting the Event Yorktown Trail Town Committee and Westchester Cycle Club

Additional Information

The North County Trail is a paved, off-road bicycle and pedestrian path that runs from the Bronx to Brewster, NY. We will ride the portion from Yorktown Heights to Carmel and back. The route has long, easy grades and a couple of spots with very short but steep slopes.
Additional Equipment Required: Bring a bicycle in good mechanical condition, water, and a helmet.
