Event Type Walk/Hike Description Both trails goes by many 19th century historic buildings, antique shops, and boutiques with spectacular views of the Hudson River. It also walks through the historic West Point Foundry. Hardy souls can also do the second half, another 5 km (3.1 miles) that ventures into the village of Nelsonville. A self-guided brochure and guide/map is available that will point out the various historical sites and natural scenic points along the way should you wish to do the walk solo, but a member of the Volkssport Club at West Point will walk the two routes consecutively leaving at 9:45 AM as well. Additional Information

Two 5 km (3.1 miles each) routes are offered, both routes go through the historic West Point Foundry. The longer route continues east and through the village of Nelsonville. Both routes are not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs due to being on dirt paths and hills.
