Event Type Paddle Description The Town of Lloyd Environmental Conservation Council invites you to enjoy paddling Chodikee Lake and the northern section of the Black Creek Water Trail along a waterway Walt Whitman celebrated as a “stream of hurrying amber.” The tour will begin at Chodikee Lake and proceed downstream into Black Creek on a meandering, gently flowing course through expansive wetlands, which are home to wildlife like beavers, turtles, and waterfowl. Registration

Advance registration required.
Please register by 9/29 by emailing ecc@townoflloyd.com or by calling 845-664-2100. The capacity at the parking lot of the Chodikee Lake launch is only 20 cars, so space is limited and we want to respect fishers and other users of the site.
$10 per person for kayak rental and lifejacket if needed

Additional Information

Slow-flowing water, easy paddle but channel winds and narrows in sections.
Additional Equipment Required: Participants may bring their own equipment or rent kayaks and lifejackets if needed.
